Catholic Schools Week

CTK Students enjoyed a variety of activities during Catholic Schools Week.

Students Visit Convent

CTK's 4th and 5th graders visited the Adorers of the the Blood of Christ Convent on May 10th.  It is a tradition that the 5th graders visit and entertain the Sisters a couple times each year as well as write letters.  During this visit, the 5th graders played recorders as the entertainment and sang songs.   Fourth graders attended as well to meet the Sisters whom they will be writing to next year.  It was a great event, enjoyed by all.

Altar Server Appreciation Lunch

Father Matt treated the fourth through eighth graders to a pizza lunch as a "Thank You" for serving as Altar Servers throughout the school year.

May Crowning

CTK students participated in the May Crowning on May 5th. Each class had a representative bring flowers in for Mary. Eighth graders carried in and performed the crowning of Mary. The eight graders also led a living rosary.  Afterwards they had a group picture while they were all dressed up.

Muffins with Mom

Christ the King's Pre-K (4 year olds) treated their Moms with a sweet Mother's Day card, hand made with love, along with a "Prayer for Motherhood" prayer card and each served his/her Mom muffins, fruit, and juice.  The Moms were treated like royalty by their precious little ones. A special "thank you" to their teacher, Mrs. Cummings for the activity.

Holy Child Association Luncheon

The annual Holy Child Association luncheon Wednesday, April 26th, served by CTK’s middle school children was a huge success. The funds raised, exceeded the amount raised for the past 10 years. The children were responsible for serving chips, desserts, drinks and cleanup. Parents helped with providing food and running the registers.   Thank you to Paula Mohr and "Kitchen Crew" for cooking.  Thank you also to the
parents and parishioners who attended.

Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service

"Our generation will show that it can rise to the promise found in each young person when we know how to give them space. This means that we have to create the material and spiritual conditions for their full development; to give them a solid basis on which to build their lives; to guarantee their safety and their education to be everything they can be.." - Pope Francis
